Kelsey Kline

Kelsey is a Research Clerk at Somos Group with extensive experience in land use research, policy analysis, and development processes. He is committed to helping clients navigate the complexities of land use regulations and entitlement procedures to achieve successful project approvals.

With a background in urban planning, environmental policy, and community development, Kelsey brings a strong analytical approach to evaluating zoning codes, site feasibility, and permitting strategies. His work includes conducting in-depth research on land use policies, drafting planning recommendations, advising on real-estate transaction processes, and assisting in project management with a variety of projects, including mixed-use, housing developments. He has experience working directly with clients on their permitting processes, serving as a primary point of contact to guide them through regulatory requirements and approval procedures.

In addition, Kelsey has experience navigating legislative spaces and analyzing land use policies at the local, state, and federal levels. His understanding of legislative processes and regulatory frameworks allows him to support clients in aligning their projects with evolving policy landscapes.

Kelsey received his bachelor’s degree in urban & environmental policy with a minor in Cognitive Science from Occidental College.
