Served as lead land use and entitlement counsel for this innovative company in the development of a solar and wind facility in Los Angeles County. The scope of work for the development of the dual-energy facility included real estate acquisitions, land due diligence, environmental compliance and cleanup, CEQA compliance and local land-use entitlements. Leveraged the firm’s expertise in environmental and development law to address state, regional and local regulations. Also advised on and implemented local lobbying and advocacy strategy for the project. Designed and implemented outreach and advocacy strategies for local stakeholders. Designed and negotiated community benefits and settlement agreements.

Centaurus

Served as real estate and land use counsel for the development and operation of solar energy facilities throughout California. Work included land use and real estate transactions for construction and repositioning of the facilities. Provided full-service support in areas of environmental law (including CERCLA, NEPA, state superfund laws and CEQA) as well as water-rights law and other natural resources regulations. The firm’s work resulted in the completion of many major solar energy facilities, transmission and distribution centers, and other right-of-way and maintenance facilities to support operation of the plants.
